Everything you want to know about EPL broadcast on Star Sports Network

Q. Why I am getting jumbled/mixed commentary?
Ans. Earlier Star Sports and ESPN commentary feeds were switched by interchanging audio inputs (white nob in red input and red nob in white input). They have not changed that audio system yet. Q. How do I switch between Hindi and English commentary?
Ans. To switch between Hindi and English commentary, locate the language button on your set-top box remote and make the required change. If it is not working then interchange your set-top box audio inputs. If nothing is working then give it a read : This is how to change commentary feed of Star Sports channels


Q. Where can I find if Star Sports Network is showing a match live or delayed ?

Q. Are HD channels going to have any Hindi commentary?
Ans. No, ESPN HD and Star Cricket HD will have only English commentary.



Q. Does Star Sports, Star Cricket, Star Sports 2, ESPN, ESPN HD and Star Cricket HD have the language button?

Ans. Select weekdays matches and all the weekend matches on four standard definition channels, Star Sports, Star Cricket, Star Sports 2 and ESPN, will have the language switch option. Matches on ESPN HD and Star Cricket HD will be available only in English commentary. 



Q. Which service providers have the option of switching languages?

Ans. All DTH and Digital cable customers can avail of the language option from their set-top box remote. Analog customers can contact their cable operators to change language feed.



Q. Can I watch pre/post/half time analysis in Hindi?

Ans. No, the pre/post /half time match analysis will be available only in English.

Q. Once the live coverage of the EPL games are done for the day, where can I watch the highlights of the games that were happening at the same time but were not covered?

Ans. To watch highlights of all the games you can tune into highlights show that will air from Monday to Friday at 09:00 PM on Star Cricket and on 09:30 PM on Star sports. Additionally, each weekday at 5:00 PM on Star Sports and 9:00 AM on Star Cricket, one match from the previous week will be shown. The channel schedule is available here: EPL schedule. Apart from this, 30 minutes highlights packages in Hindi will be aired across the Star Sports Network throughout the weekdays. 

Q. Can I watch all games in Hindi?

Ans. Not yet since Star Sports have introduced Hindi commentary on a selective basis. For games with Hindi commentary viewers have the option to switch to audio feed. For all the other games, English will be the default language. More than 100 matches will be aired with Hindi commentary in this season. Some matches with Hindi commentary may have delayed broadcast.


Q.When I record a game to watch it later, which language will it record in?

Ans. The game will record in the language that you have switched to.
